In recent years, bionic super-hydrophobic surfaces with Contact Angle (CA) biggerthan150inspired by lotus leaves have drawn much attention from researches. Bionicsuper-hydrophobic surfaces usually have some amazing characteristics, such asself-cleaning, anticorrosive properties, antipollution and so on. So the wetting behaviourof solid surfaces is very important in fundamental research and practical applications.Up to now, some methods have been used to fabricate super-hydrophobic surface,such as electrochemical reaction and deposition, phase separation, plasma etching andpolymerization, etching and lithography, sol–gel and so on. Overall, the methods forfabricating a super-hydrophobic surface can be divided into two approaches: create arough structure on a hydrophobic material surface; modify the rough surface with aspecial low surface energy materia.In this paper using a combination of methods of chemical etching and surfacemodification, firstly successes in preparing the substrate of super-hydrophobic surfacebased on the2J85material with the NMP-PTFE coating, and surface Contact Angle of163°. In the experiment studied the impact of substrate surface roughness and thethickness of the coating on hydrophobic nature.The second method is based on the above experiment, using of PPS instead ofNMP for good adhesion, successes in preparing the substrate of super-hydrophobicsurface based on the2J85material with PPS-PTFE coating. Then introduce SiO2hydrophobic ion to perfect experimental operation, and finally get surface contact angleof about164°super-hydrophobic stable surface.
