Epoxy resin has many advantages such as excellent heat resistance, mechanical properties,solvent resistance,easy processing and low costs。It is widely used in all aspects of production anddaily life.But for some reasons such as structure and curing conditions, make it toughness, soresearchers make their focus on how to toughening of epoxy resins.Polysulfone is the commercialized special engineering plastics in the sixties of the lastcentury,With many advantages for example: high strength, high toughness,good heat-resistantperformance and so on. But for the molecular structure of polysulfone has a high density ofbenzene rings, which requires high processing Temperature and Processing Pressure, It isimportant to reduce its viscosity of molten and improve the processing performance.Block copolymers PSF-b-EP was prepared by using synthesized hydroxy-terminatedpolysulfone prepolymer reaction with the epoxy resin.and the synthesized block copolymers wascharacterized by GPC,. PSF-b-EP/EP composite system was prepared by using synthesizedPSF-b-EP blending with epoxy resin.And characterized and analyzed by DSC,TGA,DMA,SEMuniversal Tensile Testing Machine, Pendulum impact testing machine and otherequipments.Experiments showed that with PSF-b-EP accession in,The interface binding abilityand dispersibility were improved.Thereby enabling the thermoplastic resin PSF played a verygood toughening effect in the PSF-b-EP/EP system. At the same time, other mechanical and heat-resistant properties of toughened also have a slight increase.The experiment that using synthesizedPSF-b-EP blending with epoxy resin to prepare PSF-b-EP/EP composite system showed that thecomposite system of the PSF-b-EP/PSF melt viscosity decreased as introducing a flexiblesegment by adding PSF-b-EP. and the the EP block has played a role of lubrication.in the entiresystem. Due to the PSF block exist in the PSF-b-EP so that it has a good compatibility in the thePSF matrix,as s result the entire material to improve the processing performance while other properties remain unchanged.
