With the continuous development of CAD/CAM technology, five-axis NCmachining applications in the manufacturing industry is becoming more common.Especially in the field of aerospace, automobile manufacturing, mold processing,five-axis NC machining the face of complex parts highlighted a high precision, efficientwhims features makes it an irreplaceable advantage. However, because five-axis NCmachine tool motion increased degrees of freedom, making the tool interference becamefrequent and complex processing. Thus, before the correct Cutter Location Path to findthe position of the tool collision detection, and tool-axis orientation correction hasbecome a necessary and critical issues. Faced with this dilemma in the five-axis NCmachining, tool collision detection and tool-axis orientation correction, mostly incollision detection huge amount of consuming too much, affecting productivity. Thispaper, on the basis of the concept of processing and testing point classification proposedclassification cube method is used to reduce the computation time required toeffectively reduce the number of tool collision detection and collision detection is doneaccording to the detected collision point to do the the tool axial correction, improve thesafety and efficiency of processing.
