The impact of the greenhouse effect on global climate,human living environment issuffering from a serious threat. World Climate Conference in Copenhagen,the countries inthe world are aware of the importance of carbon dioxide emissions. CO2geological storagetechnology is effective in reducing the CO2emissions the most favorable way to the rise inrecent years. As the technology matures,China’s government departments, relevantorganizations and scholars have conducted a study of the theoretical and experimental phase.This thesis is in the lead of the China Geological Survey Bureau hydrogeological environmentGeological Survey Center,North China Basin south of CO2geological storage potentialevaluation is an important part of evaluation of CO2geological storage potential in China’smajor sedimentary basins.This paper is to study the geological storage of carbon dioxide geological conditions,technical basis of storage mechanism,collected geological data of the southern North ChinaBasin,including regional geology,structural geolog, petroleum geology,hydrogeology,and formation lithology and physical parameters etc., collate and analyze the development inthe basin, a tectonic units trap structure and deep saline aquifer storage,seal combination,and the potential for geological storage of carbon dioxide. Create a CO2geological storagesuitability evaluation index system,to carry out a comprehensive evaluation of suitabilitysouthern North Basin.Computing and suitability evaluation,and reached the following conclusions:1、CO2geological storage potential of the southern North China basin,a tectonic unitsare located a suitable reservoir,seal combination. Basin within1500m to6500m depthrange of oil and gas fields,coal seams and deep saline aquifers,carbon dioxide geologicalreserves of approximately519.132×108t. Southern North China Basin CO2geologicalstorage potential is mainly distributed in the of Zhoukou depression and Hefei Depression,area,storage capacity accounted for91.27%of the entire basin;2、According to the actual situation in southern North China basin, including theestablishment of basin area, sediment depth, surface temperature, heat flow values ofgeothermal gradient and reservoir parameters such as porosity and geological storage ofcarbon dioxide suitability evaluation index system, evaluation showed that the southern basinof the North a structural unit, Zhoukou depression and Hefei depression area belongs toappropriate levels, Kaifeng depression area generally suitable area, Taikang, the longmountain uplift and uplift of Huaibei area to be evaluated. The results of this evaluation and southern North China basin distribution and geological conditions of oil and gas distributiontrends coincide.
