Fabric parameter detection plays an increasingly important role in modern industrialproduction, its quality directly determines the quality and price of fabric. Therefore, fabricparameter detection is extremely application value in the industrial production. In order toachieve the density of the automated detection fabric warp and weft, in this paper, itdesigns a detection system for fabric warp and weft density by using Halcon algorithmlibrary and machine vision technology.In this paper, firstly, it describes the course of development about the fabric warp andweft density detection, and then describes the architecture of the machine vision inspectionsystem, and describes in detail about machine vision technology, which includes the mainimage transformation technology, image enhancement technology and image featureextraction technology.In this paper, the content of the article is planed by system program designed, itsdesign contains the system’s overall design, hardware selection, hardware platformstructures and the design of various functional modules interface. The paper carried out adetailed analysis of the choice of system solutions, and description in detail about thedesign of the various modules of the system: including the advantages of the imageprocessing software and the system hardware selection; using Fourier transform for thefabric image processing, using Gabor transform for fabric image analysis, using wavelettransform in textile warp and weft density analysis; explains in detail the overall design ofthe system software. According to the characteristics of the software design, in this paper,uses modularization idea for the design system, the design of software is divided into fivemodules: user management module, image acquisition and processing and recognitionmodule, offline processing module, on-line processing modules, motion control module.In the development process of fabric warp and weft density detection system, usingthe Halcon and VC6.0for programming, it did image acquisition and pre-processing, imageprocessing and detection; storage of test results. Finally, the experiment shows that thedesign of the system for the fabric testing achieves satisfactory results.
