The new generation of green glycine hydrochloride ionic liquids ([Gly]Cl)wassynthesized by ultrasonic–assisted method, and it was used in chitosan solution andoxidative degradation aspects. Then, the influence of the chitosan/ionic liquid (CTS/[Gly]Cl) and low molecular weight chitosan (LMCTS) finishing on the antistatic property,antibacterial property, mechanical property, crease-resistant property and dyeingperformance of the polyester fabric was reseached.First of all, compared with the influence of traditional heating reflux method andultrasonic assisted synthesis method on the synthesis glycine ionic liquids, it was concludedthat ultrasonic can indeed strengthen ionic liquid synthesis process, the synthesis time wasobviously shortened. Under the assisted condition of ultrasonic, the influence of reactantmolar ratio, reaction time, temperture and ultrasonic power on the yield was discussed.Through the single factor experiment analysis, the optimum synthesis condition as follows:hydrochloric acid and glycine of molar ratio is1.8, reaction temperature is60℃, reactiontime is2h, ultrasonic power is125W, the ionic liquid yield is89.97%. Through the infraredspectroscopy of product characterization results show that the product has the characteristicabsorption peak of the [Gly]Cl.Secondly, the ionic liquids was used in chitosan solution process. The faults oftraditional solvent acetic acid, such as volatile, stimulating odour and toxicity and so on,are overcome. Experiments show that the amount of dissolving chitosan was6.6%whichreached the maximum, when the mass fraction of ionic liquids was4%.Thirdly, consider the low-molecular-weight water-soluble chitosan has its uniquephysiological activity and physicochemical properties, it is more beneficial to improve theperformance of the polyester fabric. Based on this reason, the influence of the each factorof H2O2oxidation degradation of chitosan on the low molecular weight chitosan yield andthe molecular weight under the condition of ionic liquids.Through the single factorexperiment analysis the optimum synthesis condition as follows: temperature is60℃, thereaction time is2h, the hydroperoxide to chitosan unit molar ratio is3, ionic liquid massfraction is2%.Finally, studied the antistatic and antibacterial performance of the chitosan acid, chitosan/ionic liquid, low molecular weight chitosan. Experiments showed that theantistatic effect of low molecular weight chitosan was better than the chitosan/ionic liquid,the best finishing process was as follows: low molecular weight chitosan mass fraction is1%, curing temperature is120℃, the curing time is3min. The antibacterial rate of lowmolecular weight chitosan to coli was99.5%better than those of the chitosan acid,chitosan/ionic liquid,and it remained at around78.6%after30times washing. While theantibacterial rate of chitosan/ionic liquid to staphylococcus aureus was99.6%lower thanthose of low molecular weight chitosan and chitosan acid, and it’s only at around69.5%after30times washing.Further studied the influence of low molecular weight chitosan andchitosan/ionic liquid on the fabric dyeing properties, crease resistance, mechanicalproperties, air permeability and moisture permeability,and found that the low molecularweight chitosan treatment can improve the fabric dyeing properties, crease resistance andmoisture permeability, but its mechanical properties has a certain decline after finishing,but does not affect its use.
