Author by optimizing process parameters, this paper inspects the preparationtechnology of thin film, the influence of the structure and the properties, The tribologicalproperties of composite coating of ion nitriding and ion plating TiN on40Cr substratesliding against alfalfa powder were investigated on an abrasive rubber wheel tester. Theadhesion strength and phase structure of TiN coating were examined by means of scratch testand X-ray diffraction. The morphologies of the worn surfaces of TiN composite coating andwear mechanism were observed and analyzed by mean of scanning electron microscopy. andcompared with the single, single ion nitriding layer of TiN coating in plant soft abrasivewear under the environment of tribological performance are compared.(1)Comprehensive analysis of various performance indicators, the results show thatmore than40cr steel substrate ion nitriding and arc ion plating TiN, optimum parameters ofcomposite coating is as follows, nitriding process is: the nitriding temperature570℃;Nitriding time2h; Nitriding voltage700v; Nitrogen gas and hydrogen gas volume flowratio of1:1. TiN thin film deposition conditions:(1) the post arc current:110a;(2) pulsebias:-100v;(3) the duty ratio:40%;(4) the deposition temperature:160℃;(5) N2and Arflow: Ar is20, N2is160(ml, min-1).(2)Ion nitriding interlayer enhanced adhesion strength and toughness of the coating.(3)When alfalfa meal abrasive by forcing compression, local can form a rigid"incompressible group", this kind of hard particles for embedding capacity on the surface ofthe sample will reduce with the increase of the surface hardness,Coating helped to avoidany further penetration into the base material.(4)The wear mechanism of coating under the soft abrasive of alfalfa meal includeboth the cutting wear under the condition of hard abrasive particles, and many plasticdeformations as well as periodic fatigue wear under soft abrasive conditions.(5)Single TiN coating and the single nitriding coating in plants under the soft abrasivewear resistance compared with the composite coating, the main wear mechanism is abrasiveplow under the condition of hard particle cutting wear and brittle flaking, and plasticdeformation under the condition of soft abrasive.
