Car body welding is a very important step of manufacturing process, laser welding iswidely used in this field as a new technology. This thesis is based on a sub project ofautomobile flexible welding project. First, this thesis introduced laser welding equipmentcomposition and technology of the whole system, then this thesis proposed a new seamtracking system in which the core is contact force sensor FSS1500g and programmable hallsensor HAL815, the contact force sensor peripheral circuit and hall sensor programmer.Finally, this thesis designed the mechanical system and control system.First this thesis reviewed the overall composition of automobile body flexible weldingsystem, system components like the laser, robot etc are introduced, the welding process is akey factor to the quality of the whole process, so it is very important, in this thesis, this thesisalso gived a very detail discription on the welding process control.After having some knowledge of the whole welding system and process, as the core ofthe seam tracking, the sensor system is discussed in this thesis.After the comparison betweendifferent sensor scheme, this thesis presented a economical and practical sensor scheme,andrealised the signal amplification circuit of contact force sensor, and hall sensor programmer.Finally, to the seam tracking mechanical structure, this thesis preliminary design a smallmechanical oscillating follow system.
