In this paper the low price of ordinary corn starch was selected as raw materials,with H2O2as oxidant, Na2HPO3, NaH2PO3for esterification reagent, by using gelatingrafted with methyl acrylate (MA) and acrylic acid (AA), the starch wasgrafted-oxidized-acetylated, preparation performance good modified starch paste,thepulp sizing performance is good and desizing easily, easy to biological degradation, itis a kind of good green starch size. This thesis mainly consists of three partscontents:(1) preparation of grafted-oxidized-acetylated starch size;(2)analysis andcapability test of starch size;(3)oxidation-esterification-grafting ternary compositemodified starch paste application process to explore.First of all,in the experiment of the preparation and properties of the studiesmainly study on:(1)Effects of oxidation temperature, oxidation time, oxidizer dosageand catalyst dosage on oxidation reaction.(2)Effects of esterification temperature,phosphate level, reaction time,dosage of urea on esterification reaction.(3)Monomeramount,monomer proportion, oxidizer dosage, reducing agent dosage,reaction temperature and time of grafting reaction were investigated. Finally, draw aconclusion that in the oxidation temperature70℃, the dosage of oxidizing agent is3%, catalyst dosage is0.03%,oxidation time1.5h; phosphorus salt dosage1.5%,among them Na2HPO3: NaH2PO3for2:3, urea consumption4%, esterificationtemperature is100℃, esterification time is1h, graft monomer concentration20%,among them CH3COOCH=CH2: CH2=CHCOOH for3:1, K2S2O8dosage is2%,Na2S2O3dosage is0.6%,reaction temperature is50℃, grafting reaction time is2h,the modified starch with high-performance can be prepared.Also,in the part of application technology investing in size film and sized yarn,including property of size mixture film, hygroscopic property and water-solubility,serous viscosity and thermal stability of viscosity, adhesive power, compatibility,sizing strength, hairiness, Rubbing fastness and desizing rate,etc.Besides,the preparation of Oxidized-Acetylated-Grafted Starch Size wasobserved with scanning electron microscopy (SEM), the result showed that in the starch granule appearance do have graft polymer, the characteristic absorption peakinfrared spectrum appeared ester, synthesis of modified starch as the target productnamely oxidation-esterification-grafting modified starch.At last,property comparation of the target size and sample preparation, in thelaboratory for13tex65/35polyester/cotton blended in warp sizing, the results showsizing strength, hairiness, rubbing fastness and desizing rate compared with sizingagent, more outstanding.
