Solvent Removal Technology For Ibuprofen Sodium Salt Based On Heat Integration Method

The refining of ibuprofen sodium solution is a process of the production of ibuprofen. At present the distillation with steam was widely used in the removal of organics in the ibuprofen sodium salt solution. In this process,treating time is long, power consumption is big and the removal of solvent is not complete, a wastewater with high content of COD was produced, the cost of subsequent processing increased. A new technology needed to be developed.Based on literature research and combined with production instances,and the operating costs was considered, In this paper, a continuous process of stripping was developed.The total COD of distillation was used to test the effect of stripping process. The existing processes was simulatated at first, and and the ibuprofen sodium salt solution was treated with simple distillation process, the COD content of distillate was5900mg/L. Then results of stripping experimental showed that:when100g ibuprofen sodium salt solution was handled, the solution of top was92ml, the equilibrium time was10min, activated carbon was dosaged0.36g,the content of petroleum ether and chlorinated alcohol in the product approached the standard samples.The treatment process of ibuprofen sodium solution was simulated and optimizated, the number of theoretical plates, feed location, the amount of water vapor, operating pressure, water temperature and other process parameters was studied based on the effect of organics removal.Finally, a flow through grid tower was designed according to the actual production needs.The results of industrial application and research showed that the organic matter was removed by stripping,the processing time was reduced, wastewater with high COD content was avoided,and the organic matter can be reused.The effect of the stripping process was significant, and the running costs was low.This technology has a high application value.
