According to the production and actual demand, prepare and optimize theoriginal Cr22Ni6Mo impeller material, change it’s carbon equivalent. Melt andprepare Cr22Ni6Mo material which carbon content are0.11%、0.71%、1.31%、1.91%、2.51%、2.81%by induction heating, conduct its organizationobservation and performance test analysis. Prepare abrasion sample, conduct acidetch test and erosion test in working conditions by contrast material1Cr18Ni9Ti、Cr18W2and original impeller material together, explore the acid-resistant characteristics and corrosion resistance mechanism of the testingmaterials. The results reveals:Cr22Ni6Mo material of different carbon content, the matrix of which are allaustenitic, the carbides are all Cr7C3.Strong carbide forming elements Cr and Moetc. mainly exit in carbide, whose content reduce with the addition of carboncontent in test material. Alloying element Ni mainly exits in matrix. The hardnessof the material increases but the toughness decreases with the addition of carboncontent.Acid etch test carries out under the conditions that the acid concentrationpH=3~5, the solution temperature is (40±5)℃, solid limestone/plasterconcentration20000-40000mg/L. The results show that C0.11%Cr22Ni6Mooriginal impeller material has a good acid-resistant characteristic and it’s justslightly lower than1Cr18Ni9Ti stainless steel, little difference. Acid-resistantcharacteristic of Cr22Ni6Mo decrease with the increasing of carbon content. Thehighest C2.81%Cr22Ni6Mo material’s acid-resistant characteristic is still muchhigher than high chromium cast iron C2.5%Cr18W2. Acidic erosion wear test under the condition of simulated condition showsthat slurry has a greater impact on ethic. It is proved that acid corrosion in failuremode is the leading role, and abrasion and erosion are followed by. Acid-resistantand erosive wear characteristics of1Cr18Ni9Ti and Cr18W2are not good, andwith the increase of carbon content in the Cr22Ni6Mo material in this experiment,the total weight loss of material. The total weight loss of materials performancecharacteristics first decreased and then increased. The erosive wear resistance oforiginal impeller material and the carbon content of2.81%Cr22Ni6Mo materialis not good. The carbon content of1.31%Cr22Ni6Mo material in this trial is thelowest weight loss showed the performance of the best acid resistance erosivewear, compared with the original impeller material that reduce costs, improveperformance, more conducive to erosive wear of impeller manufacture of acidresistance, it can replace the impeller material.
