Rare-earth complexes have some advantages of high excitation purity, high luminousefficiency and weak influences from environment, which show a broad prospect ofapplication in extraction reagents, organic light-emitting diodes, Anti-counterfeiting materials,and fluorescent probe fields. Luminescent rare-earth complex could be divided into manydifferent types, in which β-diketone lanthanide complexes have been the hotspot in the fieldof rare earth luminescent materials because of its good luminescent performance. Presently,the study of bis(β-diketone) lanthanide complexes is still relatively not very much.This thesis reviewed the latest development of β-diketone especially the bis(β-diketone)lanthanide complexes. And a new kind of bis(β-diketone) ligand was designed andsynthesized which has a high absorptivity coefficient with a thiophene ring as its substrate:2,5-dithenoyl trifluoroacetone. Using2,5-dithenoyltrifluoroacetone as the main ligand, wesynthetized a series of rare-earth complexes and explored their synthetic methods, thesynthesis conditions (such as the second ligand, the temperature, the pH and the reactionratio), and the luminescence properties of the rare-earth complexes. The content of this thesiswas mainly divided into the following sections:1、The target bis(β-diketone) ligand:2,5-dithenoyltrifluoroacetone was prepared throughthree-step reaction with2,5-thiophene dicarboxylic acid and ethyl acetate as the startingmaterial. Moreover, the respective intermediates and the target product were characterized byIR, NMR and mass spectrometry.2、Different rare-earth complexes of Eu (europium nitrate and europium chloride) wereobtained through conventional solution reaction, discussing the influence of reaction ratio onthe experiment. And, the structure, thermal stability and luminescence properties of theproduct was analyzed by IR, UV, fluorescence and TG.3、A series of rare-earth complexes was synthetized in hydrothermal and solvothermalconditions. And some influence factors were discussed such as the second ligand, reactingtemperature, pH and reaction ratio and so no. Also, the structure, thermal stability andluminescence properties of the product was analyzed by IR, UV, fluorescence and TG..4、A series of rare-earth complexes were prepared using the solution diffusion method. And the result was analyzed by IR.
