Dynamic properties of high speed winder machine being a critical equipment in the production of synthetic filament affect the quality of the fiber filament. The dynamic properties of winder machine are affected by the winder head as an important component of winder machine, so it is necessary to do some research in term of the dynamic properties of the winder head called spindle. At present, it is more developed in the area of theoretical research for dynamic properties of spindle rather than in the area of experimental research for dynamic properties of accelerated starting up of the spindle. There are several reasons leading to this research present situation. As it known that high speed winder machine is the core equipment of filament production, so its shut down could bring a big financial lost. Besides, working conditions of the winder machine could be complex and variable, so it is hard to install and use sensors.Based on the situation described as above, this paper tested the high speed winder machine. According to testing results and existing theoretical methods, this paper built a simplified model of the winder head (spindle). Using simulation and experiment research methods, this paper verified the feasibility of the simplified model and studied dynamic properties of transient starting up process in term of the simplified model. Making the research object the simplified spindle model, it is intent of this paper to solve the long lasting testing problem of the winder machine in the practical test.According to the structural characters and working process of high speed winder machine and a testing method, this paper got dynamic properties of spindle without loads. Analyzing the testing results, this paper found main factors affecting dynamic properties of the spindle and used some of the factors as basis to verify the simplified model’s feasibility.Based on the previous natural frequences of the high-speed winder spindle, this paper applied the optimization design theory to build the simplified model of the spindle. Using finite element analysis method ANSYS, this paper analyzed the harmonic response of unbalance for the model and verified the feasibility of model, then found the influence of different acceleration to response of transient starting up process.Based on the three-phase asynchronous machine, synchronous belt, transmission shaft, pedestal, sensors and LMS vibration and noise testing system, this paper built a simplified testing bench. Using the simplified model, this paper tested the dynamic response of starting up process in different angular velocity of acceleration. Comparing the results with practical testing results and simulation results, this paper found the effect law between angular velocity of acceleration and dynamic properties of the simplified model in starting up process.
