Solid oxide fuel cell with high efficiency, less pollution, and solid state devices has been paid attention in the world. Materials and preparation technology of solid oxide fuel cell have been investigated in this study. Traditional plate structure battery is prepared. Lanthanum Strontium Manganate (LSM),8mol%Yttria Stabilized Zirconia (YSZ) and Nickel-8mol%Yttria Stabilized Zirconia (Ni-YSZ) are selected as cathode materials, electrolyte materials, and anode materials in the experiment, respectively.To meet materials’requirements of soild oxide fuel cell, solid phase reaction is employed to prepare electrolyte and electrode materials of solid oxide fuel cell in this study. SEM and XRD are used to test the morphology and phases of SOFCs electrode. The results show that NiO/YSZ powder with adding graphite in the mass ratio of15%has a good performance which is sintered at950℃for2h, then sintered at1250℃for20min, then at1200℃for lh. To get pure phase of LSM cathode, the powders are grinded for2h, and pressured at5MPa for60s in compression mold, and sintered at1200℃for15h finally. Import YSZ powder is sintered at1500℃for5h, which can meet the requirements of the electrolyte.For the traditional preparation method of solid oxide fuel cell, the coatings of solid oxide fuel cell electrode are prepared by painting. The process as followed:the ethyl cellulose and terpineol are mixtured solvent on the mass ratio of1:20, and place in ventilated for72h, and then mixed with electrode materials make of slurry, which can meet the requirements.For the new preparation of solid oxide fuel cell, electron beam physical vapor deposition technology is used by preparing cathode film. The results show that electron beam physical vapor deposition technology can make the organization present columnar structure, and make some thickness by controlling the process parameters. The coating with columnar structure can increase the diffusion channels of the oxygen. Because of the technology characteristic, the prepared cathode has part of the composition segregation.
