Jiao Ping mining area in our country belongs to the low pressure, low permeability, low gas content of the northwest Jurassic low coal rank area. In the production process, with the increase of the scale of production, mining depth and mining area, the gas disaster of serious. In order to effectively exploit CBM, reduce CBM content and disasters. Horizontal well technology is one of the most important stimulation means of coal-bed methane extraction, to accelerate the pace of large-scale development and utilization of CBM in Jiao Ping, realize coal-bed methane utilization and coal safety mining has very important significance.Based on Jiao ping mining area geological condition and the reservoir characteristics of understanding, mainly do the following several aspects research:â‘ Analyzes and demonstrates the applicability of the developed technique for horizontal wells in the block.â‘¡By using a numerical simulation method to calculate the optimal horizontal section length, branch angle and branch distance. And the use of optimal parameter design of three horizontal wells including U type well, V type well and multi-branched well.â‘¢On three kinds of horizontal wells are economic evaluation, and select a horizontal wells of most potential for development.Finally, through the comparison of technical and economic index can be obtained:â‘ The U type well after-tax internal rate of return is lower than the industry standard, other indicators comply with the investment requirements.â‘¡Technical and economic indexes of the V type well and multi-branched horizontal well can meet the investment requirements.According to the above research, recommend multi-branched horizontal well as Jiao Ping mining area of horizontal well development well.
