Mercury pollution caused by coal burning has drawn much attention with the promulgation of new fossil-fuel power plant atmospheric pollutant emission standard, so it is urgent to control mercury emission. Considering of the different forms of mercury speciation in flue gas and the current state of air pollution control technology and facility in China, it is meaningful to achieve the multi-pollutants control by existing pollutant control system.Based on referring to abundant documents, mercury pollution situation and the methods of monitoring and management in coal fired power plant were summarized. The study on simultaneous desulfurization, denitration and mercury removal from simulated flue gas was carried out in this paper. By using bubbling reactor, the absorbent R was selected to have an experimental study farther. The factors influencing the efficiency of removal of elemental mercury, such as the concentration of absorption, reaction time, reaction temperature, pH value, the concentration of inlet mercury and SO2and NOx concentration were studied. Thus, the optimum conditions were confirmed. The concentration of absorbent R, pH value and reaction temperature were0.5mmol/L,8.5and40℃respectively. Effect of SO2and NO concentration on removal efficiency was researched, and the results showed SO2in certain concentration had excellent acceleration effect on removal of Hg0, and NO in the concentration range also showed promoting function. Under the optimum conditions, experiments of simultaneous desulfurization, denitrification and removal of mercury were carried out, and the efficiency of desulfurization, denitration and removal of elemental mercury can be achieved at98%,53%and83%when the experimental results showed that the absorbent R had preferable performance of simultaneous desulfurization, denitration and mercury removal from flue gas. The analysis results got by fluorescent mercury analyzer and ion chromatography showed that the sulfur element in by products mainly existed in the form of sulfate, and nitrogen existed with nitrate, mercury element existed with ion-state. The reaction mechanism of simultaneous removal of SO2, NOx and Hg0by absorbent was discussed.
