The aluminum alloy castings, especially the die castings aluminum alloy has been widelyused in many fields, such as the automobile and the aviation field and so on. The mechanicalproperties of die casting aluminum alloy in domestic is general, and the performance is not stable.Adding alloying elements into die casting aluminum alloy to is an effective method of improvingmechanical properties. Presently, the influnce research of alloying elements on themicrostructure and properties of die casting aluminum alloy is rare. Futhermore, the research ofalloying elements with heat treatment process on the microstructure and properties of die castingaluminum alloy is rather rarely reported. In this paper, the different alloying elements were added into aluminum alloy, then thehardness and strength were increased by the heat treatment technology of solid solution andaging. On the one hand, the influnce of alloying elements copper, magnesium, zinc onmicrostuctuer and properties of G01aluminum alloy were studied through the mechanicalproperties test, the metallographic microstructure and SEM fracture morphology observation. Onthe other hand, the mechanical properties and microstructure of the G01aluminum alloy with theaddition of La, Cr element after different heat treatment technologies. The research shows that, the addition of magnesium element makes G01alloy tensilestrength and hardness increase. The toughness of alloy adding copper element increases slightlybefore heat treatment but decreases after the heat treatment. The effect of the alone addition ofzinc on strength, hardness and mechanics performance of aluminum alloy is not very remarkable, but the strengthening effect is remarkable after adding Al, Cu, Mg elements together. The study shows that the microstructure of the alloy is refined obviously after adding traceelemnets La, Cr. when La content is0.15%and Cr content is0.2%, mechanical performance ofG01alloy is better. The optimum properties of G01alloy is obtained after525℃×4h solidsolution treatment and180℃×6h aging treatment.
