| The paper is based on the4#slab caster mold level control system of the Steel-making Factory in Tianjin Iron and Steel Group Co., LTD. The historic, present states and perspectives of caster techniques and control techniques of mold level are summarized based on consulting a great deal of documentation. According to the control demands of the mold level control system to caster techniques, the research of the mold level control system is presented.In the mold level control system there is a difficult because the different sizes of the molds. The fuzzy control does not depend on the characteristics of the control object,so the fuzzy control is researched farther. And a realization method of the mold level fuzzy controller is given.By the simulink toolbox of MATLAB, the mold level system is simulated. The simulation results show that as a linear controller, the classic PID controller cannot take into account between the speed and the adjust time; as a nonlinear controller, the fuzzy controller is able to combine fast and the adjust time. For different sizes of the molds, fuzzy control can do better than PID control. |
