Rare earth luminescent materials have now become the research focus of luminescent materials due to its many excellent properties and a wide range of applications. The emergence of new synthetic methods provided new opportunities for promoting the performance of luminescent materials. The Sr2CeO4:Eu3+powders were synthesized by solid-state method, citrate-gel method and chemical precipitation method. The Sr2CeO4:Eu3+powders were synthesized by solid-state method with cerium (Ⅲ) nitrate, strontium nitrate and europium oxide as raw materials. X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and emission spectrum were employed to characterize powders. And the calcined temperature, the calcined time and the doping content of Eu3+were discussed. The results showed that the optimum conditions for preparing Sr2CeO4:Eu3+powders were as follows:the calcined temperature was1100℃, the calcined time was4h and the doping content of Eu3+was12%mol.The Sr2CeO4:Eu3+powders were prepared by citrate-gel method, with cerium (Ⅲ) nitrate, strontium nitrate and europium oxide as the starting materials. XRD, SEM and emission spectrum were used to analyze the the pH value of precursor solution, the ratio of citric acid to metal ions, the calcined temperature and the doped content of Eu3+. The results indicated that the optimum conditions for preparing Sr2CeO4:Eu3+powders as follows:the pH value of precursor solution was7-8, the ratio of citric acid to metal ions was3:1, the calcined temperature was1200℃, and the doping content of Eu3+was15%mol.The Sr2CeO4:Eu3+powders were obtained through chemical precipitation method with cerium (Ⅲ) nitrate, strontium nitrate and europium oxide as raw materials and ammonium carbonate as precipitate. XRD, SEM and emission spectrum were ultized to study the influence of the pH value, the aging time, the calcined temperature, the sedimentary temperature and the doped content of Eu3+on the Sr2CeO4:Eu3+powders. The results showed that the optimum conditions for preparing Sr2Ce04:Eu3+powders as follows:the pH value of was7~8, the sedimentary temperature was80℃, the aging time was2h, the calcined temperature was1200℃, and the doping content of Eu3+was12%mol.Compared with solid-state and chemical precipitation method, the Sr2CeO4:Eu3+powders synthesized through citrate-gel method showed many advantages, such as little impurities phase, small size particle, narrow size distribution, high doping content of Eu3+and luminescent intensity.
