In this dissertation, tetra-amine phthalocyanine of indium chloride was synthesized by liquid phase method. Using2-Chloropropionyl chloride end-capped indium chloride tetra-amidophthalocyanine as initiator, indiumphthalocyanine-functionalized four-arm star polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) and polystyrene (PSt) were synthesized by atom transfer radical polymerization (ATRP) method. The synthesized phthalocyanine complexes and polymers were determined by fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy, ultraviolet-visible (UV-Vis) spectroscopy and nuclear magnetic resonance hydrogen spectrum (1HNMR) techniques. The ultraviolet-visible spectra of the prepared phthalocyanine derivatives and polymers were studied by the UV-vis spectrum technique. The results showed that the absorption peaks of indium chloride tetra-aminephthalocyanine in Q-band was observed to occur red shift; the absorption peaks of indium chloride phthalocyanine initiator and two kinds of polymers were observed to occur blue shift in Q-band.Molecular weight and molecular weight distribution of two kinds of polymers were determined by gel permeation chromatography (GPC). The results showed that the polymerization process followed the characteristic of the first-order reaction dynamics, polymerization reaction had a good controllability, and the molecular weights distribution of two polymers was narrow.Using Ekspla dye clamping ps Nd:YAG pulse laser system, third-order nonlinear optical properties of two polymers were studied by Z-scan measurements at wavelength of532nm with21ps pulse. By simulation and calculation of the experimental data, when the molecular weight of two kinds of polymers was2902(PMMA) and3155(PSt) respectively, the third order nonlinear susceptibility value reached maximum, the third-order nonlinear susceptibility, x(3) of the polymer was7.216×10-10esu and8.456R10-10esu, respectively.
