There would be produced a surge of high concentration wastewater during the production of caffeine. The wastewater has complex composition, including high ammonia, high COD and high salinity. As the wastewater has the characteristic of complex sources, emissions represents, difficult to deal with, and the high cost of treatment, there are no effective treatment programs. The wastewater has a serious impact on the production and development of the enterprise. Therefore, it has a high value in use to explore a reasonable and viable process.Considering the characteristics of wastewater, based on extensive literature research and experimental, this paper determines the evaporation and stripping process route and proves its feasibility. It investigates the influence of the theoretical plate numbers, the feeding position, the amount of water vapor, the feeding temperature of the wastewater and the operating pressure on the wastewater treatment effect, and also studies the relationship between the temperature and the amount of water vapor of the feed, and the process parameters for the simulation and optimization, and ultimately obtains the optimal parameters. In this paper, Aspen Plus simulation software imitates and optimizes violet acid high ammonia wastewater treatment process, and according to the simulation results designs the wastewater treatment process which based on thermal integration program.The results show that:the stripping method for the high concentration violet acid wastewater processing is a viable technology solution. Heat integration process can not only effectively remove ammonia nitrogen in the wastewater, but also recycling the by-products of a certain amount of ammonia. The treatment effect of the process scheme is significant; it can effectively reduce the handling costs and produce a certain economic benefits, which have industrial feasibility.
