Plenty of wastewater with high concentration which is difficult to bedecomposed would engender in the production process of cephalosporins. In order toreduce the organic matter density of the cephalosporins wastewater and enhance thebiodegradability of it, this study chiefly investigates the pretreatment of this kind ofwastewater.Based on comprehensive review of physical pretreatment,chemical pretreatmentand biologic treatment, the Iron-Carbon Microelectrolysis-Fenton Process was putforward for cephalosporins wastewater pretreatment.Through the bench scale,observed and studyed the treatment efficiency of the Iron-Carbon MicroelectrolysisProcess, the Fenton Process and the Iron-Carbon Microelectrolysis-Fenton Processrespectively, then compared them. Finally, calculated the treatment cost ofcephalosporins wastewater with the Iron-Carbon Microelectrolysis Process.under the appropriate reaction conditions of the bench scale,CODcr removal rateof the Iron-Carbon Microelectrolysis Process, the Fenton Process and the Iron-CarbonMicroelectrolysis-Fenton Process is7.6%,38.4%and42.4%respectively, andBOD5/CODcr of them is0.22、0.27and0.31severally. Compared with theIron-Carbon Microelectrolysis Process and the Fenton Process, the advantages ofcombined process is obvious.After having researched and analyzed with orthogonal test and One-factorexperimental design, determine the optimum operational parameter for theIron-Carbon Microelectrolysis-Fenton Process. the optimum operational parametersof the Iron-Carbon Microelectrolysis section are: pH=3.5, V(Fe):V(C)=1:1, the ratio ofiron-carbon filler and water volume is1:1, HRT=40min. And the optimum operationalparameters for Fenton Process section are: pH=2.7,hydrogen peroxide dosage of30g·L-1,FeSO4·7H2O dosage of15g·L-1,HRT=120min. In this case,CODcr removalrate and BOD5/CODcr is44.2%and0.33severally.the treatment cost is about152.448yuan/m3. Under the optimum operational conditions, the pilotscale-experiment equipment can operate mainly steadily for a long time.Results of the research provide the references to cephalosporins wastewaterpretreatment and expande the application range of Iron-Carbon Microelectrolysis-Fenton Process.
