Since the reform and opening up, as a whole, the level of urbanization in China hascontinued to improve, Now has entered a stage of rapid development. As the post-industrialperiod arrived, the city’s rapid development has brought environmental pollution, threatenedthe health of the residents, it is becoming increasingly serious. Since this century, many of theproblems are exposed such as our environment, it reflects the enormous challenge of rapideconomic development to the survival urban human settlements of urban residents. This paperattempts to establish the urban habitat environment and urbanization development evaluationindex, to analysis human settlements and urbanization development between the past andcurrent practical situation, to predict the future of the human settlements and urbanizationdevelopment.Urban human settlements is an important foundation and carrier for the urbanizationdevelopment, the continuous progress of the urbanization is a solid premise and protection ofthe human settlement development. Only to achieve coordination between the two systems, isthe only way to achieve urban sustainable development. Urban human settlements andUrbanization development coordination quantitative research is a tool to measure both thestate of development, it has the important function of indicating the healthy development ofthe city. After verifying and collecting the2002-2011data of human settlements andUrbanization Development of Dalian, the paper establishes the human settlements andurbanization index system, uses PCA and statistics software SPSS17.0to obtain humansettlements comprehensive index and urbanization Composite Index, then obtain humansettlements and Urbanization system coordination degree in2002-2011through coordinationmodel. Through paper analysis results, Dalian human settlement index is higher than theurbanization index in2002-2005, two systems are in dominant position coordinationdevelopment and good coordination development; Urbanization index is higher than thehuman settlement environment index in2006-2010, two systems coordination degree aredecline, two systems are in mid-level coordination development and barely coordinationdevelopment; Human settlement index is higher than the urbanization index in2011,butcoordination degree between two system jumps to good coordination. This paper is basicallyconsistent with the actual situation, it shows that the description of the model can betterexplain the relations between human settlements and urbanization, and forecasts thecoordinated development between human settlements and Urbanization. The article alsocalculates the coordinated degree of Dalian’s all districts and counties, tries to figure out the coordinated development of the spatial distribution of Dalian’s districts and counties. Finally,Look for the causes of coordinated development between human settlement and urbanizationsystems in Dalian, the paper gives some suggestions and countermeasures for Dalian abouthuman settlements and urbanization development.
