Eight novel complexes were synthesized by hydrothermal method. The central metal ofsix complexes (complexes (1)6) is Cu(Ⅱ) ion and the other twoare Ti(Ⅱ) complexes(complexes (7)8). The structure of complexes was determined by single crystal X-raydiffraction. And they were characterized by infrared spectra (IR), UV-Vis absorption spectra(UV-Vis) and surface photovoltage spectroscopy (SPS). Emphatically study the surfacephotoelectric properties of complexes and compare the relationship between UV-Vis spectraand SPS. To further research the surface photoelectric properties, complexes (9)17 whichwere synthesized by other students of our group are compared with the eight complexes. Conclusions are following:1. The formulas of complexes:(1){[Cu1Cu2(C4H4O62(H2O)2]·4H2O}n(9)[K2Cu2(ox)(btec)(MeOH)2]n(2)[Cu1Cu2Zn(μ-O)4(SO4)]n(10){[Cu(pdc)(H2O)2]·H2O}n(3)[Cu2Cd(C8H3O52(H2O)2]n(11)[Cu(cyan)(phen)]·H2O(4)[Cu(1)2Cu(2)1(C8H3O52(H2O)2]n(12)[Mn(pzdc)(H2O)2]n(5)[Cu(2,2’-bipy)(SCN)2](13)[Mn(phen)(pdc)(H2O)2]·H2O(6)[Cu(C2H3O32](14){[Fe(Hpdc)2(H2O)2]·2H2O}(7)[Ti(2,2’-bipy)Cl2](15)[Fe(HImbc)2(H2O)2](8)[Ti1(phen)2Cl·Ti2(C1H2N5)(H2O)Cl2](16)[Fe(phen)2(CN)2]·CH3CH2OH·2H2O(17) K[Fe(tp)2]·SO4(C4H4O6=tartaric acid, C8H3O5=2-oxidobenzene-1,3-dicarboxylato,2,2’-bipy=2,2’-dipyridyl, phen=1,10-phenanthroline, C1H2N5=5-amino-1h-tetrazole, ox=oxalic acid,btec=1,2,4,5-benzenetetracarboxylic acid, pdc=2,5-pyridinedicarboxylic acid, cyan=cyanuric acid, pzdc=3,5-pyrazoledicarboxylic acid, Imbc=4,5-imidazoledicarboxylic acid,tp=poly(pyrazoltl)borate)2. The central metal of complexes (1)6,(9)11 are all Cu ion. Complexes (2) and(9) are3D coordination polymers connected by SO42-and btec respectively, complex (2) isCu-Zn heteronuclear; complexes (1) and (10) are2D coordination polymers connected bytartaric acid and2,5-pdc2-respectively; complexes (3) and (4) are isomorphic both connectedinto1D coordination polymers by C8H3O53-, the difference between them is complex (3) isCu-Cd heteronuclear; complexes (5),(6) and (11) are mononuclear connected into1D,2D, 3D structure through weak interaction.3. Complexes (7) and (8) are supramolecules of Ti(Ⅱ) ion. Complex (7) ismononuclear and complex (8) is dinuclear, the coordination environment of Ti ion isdifferent.4. The central metal of complexes (12) and (13) is Mn(Ⅱ) ion. Complex (12) is a1Dcoordination polymer connected by3,5-pzdc2-group and (13) is a mononuclear complexconnected into2D structure by hydrogen bonds.5. Complexes (14)17 are Fe(Ⅱ/Ⅲ) mononuclear supramolecules connected into1D,2D and3D structure by hydrogen bonds. Four complexes were characterized by EPR tofurther research the coordination mode of Fe ions.6. Emphatically study the photoelectric property of complexes by SPS. The SPS of fourcomplexes all exhibit obvious photovoltage response bands in the range of300800nm.This indicates that they all possess certain photoelectric conversion capability. The effects ofvalence state, coordination micro-environment of the central metal ions and structure on theSPS were discussed. SPS and UV-Vis absorption bands of every complex are closely related.
