In order to solve the global energy crisis and opened up new method of energy storage,people on the phase change materials were studied. Traditional in the use of phase changematerials produced liquid, or the degradation, the sublimation under the use of temperature,without form-stable. There is certain limited to be used PCM. So this new type of aform-stable phase change materials, the present study one of the hot spots.This paper used the homemade Polyether-ester-amide (PEEA) as the compatibilizers,and Polyethylene glycol (PEG)/polyamide6(PA6) blends prepared from blending in thesolution as form-stable of solid-solid phase change materials(PCM). PEEA was characterizedby FTIR,X-ray, optical microscope and DSC.PEG/PA6PCM was tested by opticalmicroscope, SEM, DSC and step cooling curve. The morphology and structure of materials,solid-solid phase change, thermal characteristics of materials, the quiddity of the phasechange and temperature adaptable characteristics of materials were characterized. And the testresults of PEEA and PCM were investigated.The test results showed that PEEA are two-phase structure, and PEEA was blockcopolymer proved By FTIR analysis, Light microscope, X-ray, DSC. And the results showedthe blends were prepared as form-stable PCM, the maximum mass percent of PEG is80%; thephase transition temperature and phase transition enthalpy of materials were determined bythe molecular weight and the mass percent of PEG, the phase transition enthalpy of materialsincreased with enlarging the mass percent and the molecular weight of PEG; In fact thesolid-solid phase change of the materials at the phase transition temperature was the transitionbetween the crystalline state and the amorphous state of PEG in the materials. Blends canretain form-stable by cycle heating at the application temperature, with no melting or leakageand the phase transition enthalpy change little. The step cooling curve of PCM proved thatPCM have a certain degree of the temperature adaptable characteristics. When the masspercent of PEG is70%, PEG/PA6phase change materials have the optimal characteristics.
