Copper has many precious properties of physical and chemical, the most prominent performance is the thermal conductivity, electrical conductivity, chemical stability, corrosion resistance and easy processing formability. Copper and copper alloy is an indispensable raw material for the development of national economy and people’s life, consumption and consumption varieties of copper processing material is the important indicators of economic development level and development speed. With the development of electronics, information and automotive industry, the demand of copper and copper alloy strip, especially high precision copper strip is increasing.In this paper, using continuous extrusion and rolling producing copper strip, having obvious advantages in terms of product quality and manufacturing efficiency, it is a kind of energy saving, material saving, environmental protection of copper processing technology, having broad application prospects. However, as a new forming technology, the extrusion and rolling technology was applied to copper strip manufacturing also faces many problems.Based on TLJ400continuous extrusion machine and roller diameter is200mm rolling mill is the model of the continuous extrusion and rolling in this paper. Through theoretical calculation, the bite condition of continuous extrusion is determined, the compatibility equation of speed of continuous extrusion and rolling forming process was established, calculating the force of the continuous extrusion and rolling forming process and strength of the roller is checked, the influence of strip width on extrusion force and reduction of rolling and strip width on rolling force were analyzed.The DEFORM-3D software was used for the numerical simulation of the continuous extrusion and rolling forming process. The accuracy of the compatibility equation for the continuous extrusion and rolling forming velocities is verified; the influence of extrusion wheel velocity, chamber preheat method, reduction and roller preheat temperature on the continuous extrusion and rolling forming process were analyzed, The results show that: Throughout the continuous extrusion and rolling forming process, the maximum equivalent stress and the maximum temperature appears in upsetting zone; With the improvement of extrusion wheel speed, temperature rising, the equivalent stress at die exit and roll forming zone increases gradually; With the increase of chamber spot heating temperature, the temperature difference of strip edge and the center decreases gradually; Rolling force and roller torque increases with the increase of extrusion wheel velocity, decreases with the roller temperature increase and increases with the increase of the rolling reduction; the temperature of rolling zone increases with the increase of the rolling reduction.
