Pectin is a linear polysaccharide polymer,which is widely found in green plants on land.Two means of hydrophobically modification were used to pectin,and its hydrophbic pectin-chitosan hydrogel.which was used glutaraldehyde as crosslinker, was prepared in this paper.Water-soluble and surface tension of two hydrophobic pectin and swelling property of its hydrophbic pectin-chitosan hydrogel were studied by single-factor experiment.And two hydrophobic pectin and its hydrophbic pectin-chitosan were used to sustained release of nifedipine and24-hours dissolution was studied. Esterified pectin, pectin-chitosan hydrogel.esterilied pectin-chitosan hydrogel for sustained release tablets of the drug matrix relative to etherified pectin have a good release effect.Esterified pectin-chitosan hydrogel shows a trend of slow release,12-hour dissolution of83.6%,24-hour dissolution of98.1%.Pectin was degradated for small molecules,and its rheological properties was studied by single-factor experiment.Two means of hydrophobic modification were used to degradation-pectin and surface properties of tow degradation-pectin was studied.By hydrogen peroxide.pectin of long-chain was degradated into shorter-chain. Degree of polymerization of hydrophobically modified degradation-pectin is in the range of11-47. Two means of hydrophobically modification for degradation-pectin (cationic-modification and amino-modification).And surface properties,foaming properties and emulsion properties of etherified modified products and amino modified products of degradation-pectin were researched,and compared with SDS. The experimental results show that:CMC of etherified modified product is lower than SDS, and the capacity of lowering the surface tension is weaker than SDS;CMC of amino-modified product is same as SDS,the capacity of lowering the surface tension is stronger than SDS.Foam expansion and foam stability of etherified modified product are lower than the SDS, Foam expansion of amino-modified product is below by SDS, but the foam liquid stability is slightly better than SDS, the foam volume stability at higher concentrations is similar as SDS;adding NaCl as the electrolyte impacts the foam properties of hydrophobic modified degradation-pectin. The two modified products of degradation-pectin are without emulsification for paraffin.
