Energy are important resources for human survival, economic development and social progress, and are the important strategic materials which relate to national economy and national security. Therefore, to every country, especial the large countries, the energy problem is an important strategic issue. Energy security and environmental issues is a serious problem that every country is facing now. Using fuel ethanol instead of traditional energy is an energy saving and environmental protection way to solve this problem, which is the way all the countries are developing.In view of the growing demand of ethanol the identification of resources and development of economical methods for its extraction are very essential. Currently, the study of preparation of fuel ethanol with solid-state distillation is popular, the development of this technology is very important for the reduction of pollution and the costs and energy conservation; the solid state distillation technology imitates the traditional steamer distillation of liquor, a traditional steamer distillation barrel is similar to a distillation tower of packing material (include of water and wine), and heat transfer were carried out in the fermented grains. The fermented grains are both material composition containing ethanol, but also a distillation tower filler, but not the same, solid-state fermentation for Fuel Ethanol does not need to consider of the preservation of aromatic substances, so increasing the concentration and the yield of ethanol, treatment of distilled materials and energy conservation are the key factors in the solid state distillation process. This dissertation is studying on the fermented grain distilling characteristic of superheated steam, the results show that:Compared with saturated steam solid-state distillation, superheated steam solid-state distillation do not have obvious advantages in the distillation effect; Increasing the superheated steam temperature and flow will increase the critical ethanol moisture content; Rational utilization of auxiliary heating system has an important role in energy-saving of distillation system.
