Rare earth sulfide has unique propeeties in optical, magnetic, electric and other aspects, which assign new properties to various materials with wide application in field of environment protection pigment, thermoelectric materials and luminescence materials. The properties of rare-earth sulfide take change after the nano-crystallization, which play an important role in the optical, magnetic, electric, environment protection pigment especially thermoelectric materials. There is no exploration and research in the field of polymerization and polymer obtained after composite material properties.This thesis adopts the blend polymerization, suspension polymerization method to prepare a series of rare earth sulfide/PMMA.The prepared samples were characterized by using SEM.TG. IR and UV absorption spectroscopy and modern testing technology. The researches show that manifested the properties evidently after the introduction of rare-earth polymer.Compared with pure PMMA, rare-earth sulfide poly methyl methacrylate composite material has stronger resistance to UV radiation intensity and better thermostability.
