The fluid catalytic cracking unit (FCCU) is the key device of oil refining and petrochemical production process. It plays an important role in the oil refining production chain. Its operation conditions affect the whole production and economic benefit. Therefore, it has a significant meaning on how to improve smoothness, save energy, reduce consumption and improve economic benefit of FCCU. In this paper, The APC(Advanced Process Control)&RTOS (Real-time optimization system) is designed, according to the existing DCS and real conditions of device.The design plan which combines advanced control&real-time optimal technology of domestic and foreign is applied.APC&RTOS is composed of four parts, which are soft-sensor system&correlation system. Reaction-Regeneration APC&RTOS, Main-Fraction APC and Absorber&Stabilization APC. The PACROS mainly aims at realizing data acquisition, Soft-Sensor and real-time optimization, which is produced by Beijing Lihuayi Sci-Tech co., LTD. RMPCT (Robust Multivariable Predictive Control Technology)of Honeywell company is used as advanced controller part. The results show that since the APC&RTOS was practiced, stable control of catalytic cracking unit has been realized. The operator’s labor intensity has been reduced, and the quality of the products has been improved. At last, the project objectives to improve the economic benefits has been successfully realized.
