Determination performance of explosive is extremely important, because explosive is notonly used for military affairs, but also widely used for a hill excavating, mining, civilian fieldsand so on. Detonation velocity, detonation pressure and explosion temperature are veryimportant parameters to test performance of explosive, in which measurement of detonationvelocity is the most simple and convenient, and the figure of is also the most exact. Sodetonation velocity plays a crucial part in determination performance of proportion andimprovement explosive, and which is the first important reference to test performance ofexplosive and explosive proportion.Electric probe and fiber are main sensors to measure detonation velocity. To comparethese two sensors, fiber adapts to bad environment better, has the advantage ofanti-electromagnetic interference, so fiber is as of sensor in this thesis. FPGA is used mainProcessing chip for its working speedily and timely. In this thesis, it describes componentsand working theory of multichannel fiber detonation velocity instrument, and introducesdetailed how to measure detonation velocity from comparing chip parameters, choosingelectronic component, design of hardware circuit, simulation of hardware circuit, design andsimulation of FPGA logic circuit.Finally, it introduced testing and to verifying system by experiments. It usedMulti-channel Fiber Optic Detonation Velocity Instrument and oscilloscope to test signal, tocompare the data of oscilloscope and Detonation Velocity Instrument, from the result above, itproved the accuracy of system. By the experiment of Detonating Fuse, it proved practicaloperability of system. From analyzing error composing and error calculating, it showed thesystem precision.
