In recent years, disable hazard substances have been detected from some well known brandclothing, causing a strong reaction in the world, the ecological safety of textiles received wideattention. Dyeing and finishing textile auxiliaries are the primary source of ecological safety oftextiles. Harmful chemicals contained in many auxiliaries or produced in use process and in theprocess of the taking of textiles are hazardous to human health and ecological environment.Short chain chlorinated paraffins (SCCPs) has the advantages of low volatility, good flameretardance and electrical insulation, cheap, widely used in textile dyeing and finishing auxiliaries,such as surface treatment agents, flame retardants of textiles and plasticizers coated fabrics andfatliquoring agents of leathers, etc. SCCPs with persistent organic pollutants (POPs)characteristics of ecological toxicity, persistence, bioaccumulation and long distance migrationability over environment, attracting much attention of international community, are included inone of the first SVHC (Substances of Very High Concern) by the REACH regulation, anddisabled and limited in mang countries. At present, researches on detection technology of SCCPsin dyeing and finishing auxiliaries textile are still blank.In this dissertation, the method for pretreatment of SCCPs in dyeing and finishing textileauxiliaries was developed, SCCPs in dyeing and finishing te xtile auxiliaries was extracted byn-hexane wih liquid-liquid extraction and then purified by sulfuric acid sulfonated and floridasilica column. Various dyeing and finishing textile auxiliaries were quantitatively analysed forSCCPs by carbon skeleton reaction gas chromatography (GC) with Pd catalyst. Some influencefactors of the catalytic hydrogenation efficiency, such as catalytic hydrogenation temperature,chlorine content and sample concentration, were studied. According to the requirement ofnational standard, SCCPs test standard for dyeing and finishing textile auxiliaries was drafted.Relative standard uncertainty was used to evaluate the accuracy of the determination results,providing theoretical basis for error control. The method of uncertainty was evaluated.The pretreatment technology of SCCPs in dyeing and finishing textile auxiliaries couldeffectively remove the main impurity. The catalytic hydrogenation efficiency less affected bychlorine content, which could eliminate interference of MCCPs and LCCPs to the quantitative. It proved that the method for SCCPs determination had good selectivity, high sensitivity andsimple operation, which could meet the determination requirement of SCCPs in dyeing andfinishing textile auxiliaries. According to the requirement of national standard, the draft ofSCCPs test standard in dyeing and finishing textile auxiliaries. The contribution of uncertaintysource was standard curve fitting, secondly from preparation of standard solution.
