Fouling organisms and predators are common problem in the process of pearl oyster culture and have an effect on the pearl oyster growth. The surface of antifouling nets using antifouling paint, we study of effecting of antifouling paint on pearl oyster. Antifouling paint’s main ingredients are halogenated furanone compounds. The main results are as follows.1. Main fouling organisms and predators found in the process of pearl oyster cultured. The main fouling organism and predators are Algae, Sponge, Parap lanocera reticulate of Platyhelminthes, Polydora ciliata of Annelida, oyster and Cymatium pileare of Mollusca, barnacle, Shrimp and crab of Arthropoda, sea squirt of Chordata and sea urchin of Echinodermata.2. Effects of antifouling paint on fouling organisms and the growth of Pinctada fucata martensii.Weight of nets fouling, iron frame fouling and shells fouling which correspond to P. fucata martensii were cultured for35days by antifouling nets is significantly less than the weight of fouling that corresponds to conventional nets. Weight of antifouling nets fouling which have cultured P. fucata martensii for70days is significantly less than weight of conventional nets fouling, but weight of iron frame fouling is significantly greater than weight of conventional iron frame fouling. P. fucata martensii have cultured for35days and70days by antifouling nets, their shell high, shell length and pearl oyster weight is significantly greater than P. fucata martensii. that uses conventional nets.3. Effects of antifouling paint on fouling organisms and the growth of Pteria penguinWeight of nets fouling and shells fouling which corresponds to P. penguin were cultured for35days by antifouling nets is significantly less than the weight of fouling that corresponds to conventional nets. Moreover, their shell height, shell diagonal and pearl oyster’s weight is significantly less than P. penguin that uses conventional nets. Weight of nets fouling which corresponds to P. penguin were cultured for70days by antifouling nets is significantly less than weight of conventional nets fouling; but weight of iron frame fouling is significantly greater than conventional iron frame fouling. P. penguin have cultured for70days by antifouling nets, their shell height, shell diagonal and pearl oyster’s weight is significantly greater than P. penguin that uses conventional nets, and this result is different to the growth index of P. penguin which have cultured for35days.Overall, pearl oyster were cultured by antifouling nets, its growth rate is greater than the growth rate of conventional nets. The effect of antifouling paint is conspicuous, and can save a lot of labor force and resources. We must promote the use of antifouling nets.
