The work for the treatment of printing and dyeing wastewater can be technicallydivided into two aspects: the one is decolourization and the other is removal ofcontaminants. As the using of surfactant in the dyeing and finishing progress,it leads tophosphorus overproof of some part of printing and dyeing wastewater andeutrophication of storage water. From the two aspects of decolourization anddephosphorization, this paper discusses the decolourizing and dephosphorizingresearch by using different decolourizing and dephosphorizing materials to treatanalogue printing and dyeing wastewater. This study has proceeded the decolourizing research of analogue printing and dyeingwastewater by using four different kinds of decolourizing materials: colorclearMT(MT1and MT2) and waterclear F4(F41and F42); the paper also has proceeded thedephosphorizing research by using diatomite,fly-ash,bentonite,kaolin and cerouschloride(Cecl3) as dephosphorizing materials. Proceeding experimental and appliedresearch for the complex treatment of analogue printing and dyeing wastewater bycombining decolourizing with dephosphorizing materials on the base of decolourizingand dephosphorizing experiments. The experimental results revealed that the decolorant MT2had better effect ofdecolourizing analogue printing and dyeing wastewater which contains reactivedyes, and its decolourizing ratio could reach100%at most under the condition ofsuitable dosage and initial pH. Kaolin and cerous chloride had better effect ofdephosphorizing analogue printing and dyeing wastewater. Using kaolin for treatinganalogue printing and dyeing wastewater under the condition of suitable dosage andinitial pH, the PO43-removal rate and absorption capability could reach95.14%and191.9ug·g-1for each; using cerous chloride for treating analogue printing and dyeingwastewater under the condition of suitable dosage and initial pH, the PO43-removalrate could reach98.76%.After combining decolorant MT2with kaolin, the decolourizing ratio could reach100%, PO43-removal rate and absorption capability could reach98.51%and134.85ug·g-1for each under the condition of suitable concentration ratio and initial pH;after combining decolorant MT2with cerous chloride, the decolourizing ratio couldreach100%under the the condition of suitable concentration ratio and initial pH. ThePO43-removal rate was consistently above98%and could reach99.85%at most. This combing has been used to treat the printing and dyeing wastewater of some printingand dyeing mill in Wuxi and Huangshan for4hours,then the TP and chromaticity wereup to discharged standards in <Discharge standards of water pollutants for dyeing andfinishing of textile industry>.
