With continuous improvement of human life, human’s demand for the material is sustainable increasing. In order to cater for the different consumption levels of human, the clothing industry develops rapidly. Clothing can be used as a feature to reflect the wearer’s personality, hobby and occupation, and fitting clothing can also increase the wearer’s self-confidence and sense of satisfaction. Therefore, the traditional making method of clothing that clothing is modified, tailed and tried on repeatedly can’t satisfy the demands of human. With the rapid development of computer technology, not only fashion designers, but also many researchers all have devoted themselves to the study of3D virtual clothing for the purpose that humans can design their favorite and suitable clothes. It is still a hotspot of research how we can generate suitable clothing model according to the feature parameters of human body or on the basis of the existing models.Every piece of the garment is calculated according to the prototype formula of the garment plane tailoring, and then the3D garment model is constructed through seaming garment pieces. But for the constructed3D garment, it may not conform to the wearer’s shape or necessarily meet the interests of the wearer, so we make deformation of the garment pieces. Firstly, we construct the contour of garment pieces according to the key points calculated through the prototype formula and make grid of the garment pieces by using the algorithm of Delaunay. Secondly, in the selected mode of OpenGL, we move key points by the response of the mouse. Through defining reference vectors, control vectors, motion vectors, and intimacy, etc, we can recalculate the positions of the grid points based on the deformation algorithm, and then we can construct garment pieces that meet the wear’s requirements. Thirdly, we establish the mechanical model of garment pieces and place them on both sides of the human model, and then we can obtain the garment model by virtual seaming. Lastly, through texture mapping, we will get a photorealistic3D garment model. We construct a dress mesh model. We implement the mesh deformation of the garment pieces based on control points, which not only meets the need of flexible design of garment, but also reduces the complexity to reconstruct garment pieces model and increases the reusability of garment pieces. Finally, through virtual seaming and texture mapping, we show the various wearing effects of garment.
