Measurement technology is the basis and prerequisite for the development of machinery industry. Machining accuracy is always closely related to the level of development of measurement techniques. The off-line measurement and statistical quality control of are. all replaced by online measurement to make the quality assurance the parts closer to machining process. So the research of on-line measurement has the practical meaning on the measurement technology. There is no mature technology and methods of the measurement during processing, size greater than100mm,0.001mm division value. Consequently, Wind energy as the national priority to the development of the industry is greatly limited in application, because large shaft parts, for example wind power spindle shaft and back-up roll, can not be measured in the processing. It really plays an important role in measuring the wind power spindle shaft and back-up roll during processing and final-inspection to design our own high-precision large shaft parts in diameter measurement. The background for this paper is special measuring tools Manufactured by VESTAS company. High-precision large shaft parts in diameter measurement are studied in this paper. The mostly work is listed as the followings:(1) On the basis of the special measuring tools made by VESTAS company, The structures and materials of the large micrometer-foot frame are reselected,at the same time, the structure of the probe is also improved to reduce its weight, improve the stability and measuring accuracy.(2) Improving the reading device of the special measuring tools is very necessary to the measurement accuracy,the use and the data process because it can solve the problem of measuring single function.So that the special measuring tools can be used in precision measurements of the fan shaft, process detection of rough machining precision and other high-precision measurement of shaft parts such as back-up roll. The impact of heat on the special measuring comparative is test and Contrasted,and possible solutions are proposed.(3) The structural analysis, life calculation and motion precision analysis of linear guide as the core component of the micrometer, are studied in this paper.(4) The feasibility of the conversion program is demonstrated by checking of the measuring mechanical properties and influence on the measurement results of the detection of a dedicated foot frame deformation.(5) The uncertainty of micrometer is analysised, which proves the accuracy of detection precision measuring tools to meet the requirements of large-size shaft.
