Metal as a very important resource,the production and research of metal resource play a very important role in the social and economic development.Coated with metal material can not only solve the limitation of single materal,but also greatly promote new material development in metallurgy, aerospace, transportation, etc. Nick-coated copper is not only with properties of nickel,but also with the material properties of copper and nickel. Chemical plating process as a kind of practical and effective method.The chemical plating layer has the advantages of high hardness and corrosion resistance.With the development of society,the roll of chemical plating process is constantly rising,more and more products applied in oil industry, electronic industry,mechanical and aerospace industry.Nickel-coated copper composite powders were fabricated by chemical plating process,chemical plating process after pretreatment of copper powder surface.The influence of coating weight and coating deposition rate can be studied by weighing method.The inf-luence of composite powders ingredients and morphology can be studied by the way of scanningelectron microscope(SEM), Ⅹ-ray diffraction(XRD),energy dispersive spectrdmeter(EDS). The influence of sodium citrate and ammonium tartrate on the composite powers of ingredients and morphology can be studies by weighing method,electron microscope,Ⅹ-ray diffraction,energy dispersive spectrdmeter.The result shows:1.In the process of chemical plating process,the factors such as reaction reductant,complexing agent,temperature,ultrasonic,etc are not affected by single factor,but closely linked together. The results show that the deposition rate of nickel-coated copper composite powders is faster when the concentration of hydrazine from50g·L-1to60g·L"’,the concentration of sodium citrate from40g·L-1to60g·L-1,the concentration of thiourea is varied from10mg·L-1to20mg·L-1,the reactive temperature is controlled in80-90℃,pH value is10or11,ultrasonic power is varied from40w to50w. By my calculation, thickness of coating layer can be reached0.29μm.2.Considering the factors influence on the chemical plating process,characterized by scanning electron microscope(SEM)and X-ray diffraction(XRD).The results show that nickel-coated copper composite powders are evenly coated and component is pure when the concentration of hydrazine from50g·L-1to60g·L-1, the concentration of sodium citrate from40g·L-1to50g·L-1,the concentration of thiourea is varied from10mg·L-1to15mg·L-1, the reactive temperature is controlled in80-90℃,pH value is10,ultrasonic power is varied from40w to50w.3.Sodium citrate can effectively improve the stability of the plating solution, improve the coating weight gain, speed up the reaction rate, improve the deposition rate of coating, effective in plating solution complexing effect, promote the growth of grain spherical uniform, and achieve a good coating effect than ammonium tartrate by the study of weighing method,scanning electron microscope,X-ray diffraction,energy dispersive spectrdmeter.
