Compared with traditional materials, nanomaterials show novel mechanical, thermal, electrical, magnetic and optical properties. Nano array materials are able tomake full use of collective of nanomaterials.Surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) has been widely used in physics, chemistry, materials, biology, medicine, environment, archaeology and other fields.Preparation of a large SERS substrate with high sensitivity, good repeatability and lowcost is an important subject in the study of SERS, and it is fundamental for SERSapplication.Anodic aluminum oxide (AAO) can be treated as a template for the preparation ofordered array materials. By controlling the anodic oxidation condition and subsequentprocessing, ultra-thin AAO membrane was prepared. Ag nano array that was made byusing AAO as the template demonstrates good SERS effect. Ag and Au nano arraycompound was made. Experiments and finite-difference time-domain (FDTD)simulation demonstrate that the respective Ag and Au concentration and the metalblend effect play an important role in SERS.Disordered nano arrays made by annealing and the second deposition methodexhibit good SERS effect. The disordered arrays are almost isotropy, and a more than109SERS enhancement factor has been achieved with relative standard deviation aslow as12%.The result of FDTD simulation of local electromagnetic filed correlateswell with the SERS enhancement effect.
