The tools, special ceramic tools have been researched on the cutting performance,component, geometry parameter by many experts. However, as the development ofCAD, information technology and the update of researched equipment, metal material,we have realized that the research about ceramic tools is not sufficient. So the cuttingperformance of the Alumina based nanometer complex ceramic tool is studied bycutting45#steel.Based on the principle of cutting, for different angles before cermet cutting tools,the establishment of ANSYS analysis of different models were studied in detail, thedistribution of temperature field and the status of the tool cutting chips, and aims toprovide a kind of more efficient, higher reliability of the method.Based on the above contents are as follows:1)Based on cutting theory,the paper analyzed the formation of the shape processof metal chip during alumina based ceramic tool cutting process, and established themechanical model of cutting deformation zoneļ¼›2) Analyzed the mechanical model and numerical calculation of large metaldeformation process, and the nonlinear, metal cutting process of large deformation,thermo mechanical coupling problem in detail with application of Lagrange method;3)Built the metal ceramic cutting2D parametric finite element model, and basedon this model to generate different geometric parameters of metal ceramic tool coupledthermo mechanical process, done the research of the stress strain-analysis, stress fieldanalysis and temperature field analysis of tools in the different deformation zonesduring the metal cutting process.4)The geometry parameter of tools has been optimized, based on the analysisabout stress field and thermal field of the Alumina based nanometer complex ceramictool.5)The abradability of tools which were used to machine the45#steel is analyzedat different cutting speed.
