In this research, the efficient degrading bacteria in food wastes were isolated by using the method of in-situ screening. On this basis, in order to improve the degradation efficiency, the strains were taken He-Ne laser mutagenesis after the species identification, which can provide theoretical support for the development of efficient composite microbial agents. The main results were shown as follows:Through the screening, rescreening and antagonism test, five strains (B4, B6, B23, M8, Y8), were selected for preparing compound agents, in which B4and B6can produce both amylase and lipase, B23can produce only amylase, M8can produce protease and cellulose, Y8can produce amylase and cellulose. This strain choice can not only degrading several kinds of main ingredient in the food waste, such as food starch, green vegetable fiber, animal and plant protein, animal lipid and so on, but also maximize the strains’enzyme production. Therefore, this choice was considered to be a reasonable combination for efficient compound microbial agents.By using a comprehensive analysis of stains’colony morphology and physiological and biochemical identification, the strain B4was identified to be Bacillus subtilis, the strain B6was identified to be Pseudomonas sp., the strain B3was identified to be Bacillus megaterium, the strain M8as identified to be Aspergillus oryzae, the strain B3was identified to be Saccharomyces cerevisiae Hansen. At present, the degradation of food waste was done by the molds, which were taken as the dominant strains, and the other bacteria’s cooperation, which effects were susceptible to the influence of environmental factors. In this research, the selected bacteria, with stronger adaptability to the environment and grew faster, were taken as the dominant strains, which can provide more possibilities and research direction for the fast, efficient and industrial implementation on the food waste’s degradation. By using He-Ne laser mutagenesis, the efficiency of the degradation of food waste was improved. After taking the rescreening strains as control group, five positive mutant strains (B4-3, B6-4, B23-3, M8-2, Y8-1) with significantly higher degradation efficiency were selected. Then, the mutant strains were taken subculture. As was shown in the result, these mutants with stable genetic traits were available for the industrial production.
