ZSM-5and ZSM-11zeolite have been widely applied in various of areas because of their excellent catalytic properties. Intergrowth zeolite ZSM-5/11not only has their pore characteristics but also has better performance for the synergistic reaction. In this paper, Intergrowth zeolite ZSM-5/11was successfully synthesized by hydrothermal method. The ratio of raw materials and conditions of crystallization were investigated. At the same time, ZSM-5zeolite with mesoporous was prepared by treating ZSM-5(SiO2/Al2O3=300) with sodium hydroxide solution and organic acid solution. Studied the effects of different treating conditions on the formation of mesporous structure. Combined XRD, FESEM, NH3-TPD, N2adsorption-desorption methods, the results showed that with the ratio of raw materials:SiO2/Al2O3=170, TBABr/Al2O3=9, M2O/A12O3=14.7(M=Na or K, Na/K=l), H2O/A12O3=2452, intergrowth zeolite ZSM-5/11was successfully synthesized under180℃for72h. And the optimal treating conditions were c(NaOH)=0.18mol/l with appropriate amount of pore-directing agent, treated for45min under65℃; c(organic acid)=lmol/l, treated for2h under85℃.Compared to the conventional ZSM-5, the two catalysts were evaluated on the benzene alkylation with methanol. The intergrowth zeolite ZSM-5/11with SiO2/Al2O3=170by hydrothermal method has similar results to conventional ZSM-5with SiO2/Al2O3=300and exhibited high toluene selectivity. At the same time, the treated ZSM-5has greatly improved the conversion of benzene and selectivity of para-xylenen.
