As the needs of olefins is increasing, while the cruid oil is in shortage and its price is rising. In this background, the MTO technology (methanol to olefins) came into beings. There have been some industrial operation devices in domestic and abroad. In this paper, a domestic MTO installation of600thousand tons per year is being studied based on the measured operation datas. The regeneration kinetic model for the catalyst in the transformation from methanol to olefins is studied.Collecting several groups of operation datas are prepared for the coke combustion kinetic model. With the collected datas, the parameters of the model are estimated and the influence of diffusion is also studied. The external diffusion factor and internal diffusion factor are calculated. Their results show that the effect of diffusion on coke combustion reaction is terrible. The model is verified with different datas, the results of the datas from the same device indicate that the model is reliable, the biggest relative error is3.50%. The results of the datas from different device show that the model has fine extrapolation, the relative errors are5.97%and13.16%respectively. By using established coke combustion kinetic model, the prediction calculation and optimization calculation are analyzed and disscussed. The results can provide guidance for industrial operations.
