In this project, the composite coagulant developed in advance was adjusted, based on the specific resistance to filtration during sludge dewatering and final water content of sludge cake. And the mixture ratio of the composite coagulant and its optimal dosage could be determined, which was applied for dewatering of sludge in mass production. The dewatered sludge was used for growth of landscape plants. Employing various ratios of sludge to soil, Loliumperenne L., Festuca arundinacea, Tagetes Patula L. and Salvia splendens were planted in potted scale. According to the investigation of plant growth and the monitoring of physiological indexes of the plants, the effect of the ratios of sludge to soil on plant growth was discussed, and then the optimal ratio of sludge to soil was concluded. The results showed that:D was the optimal coagulant aid. The optimal dosage of the composite coagulant was0.17gcoagulant/gDTS. The pot experiments showed that after an adaptive phase, a low ratio of sludge to soil could promote the growth of landscape plants obviously. The germination potential and percentage, dry weight, fresh weight, plant height and the contents of chlorophyll, soluble sugar were all better than the control group, but the content of the MDA was lower than the control. It showed inhibition effect on the plants growth with the increasing of the ratio of sludge to soil. The optimal ratio of sludge to soil were5%-10%for Lolium perenne L.,5%for Festuca arundinacea,3%-5%for Salvia splendens and1%-5%for Tagetes Patula L. respectively.
