In recent years, along with the rapid economic development, It inevitably causedsome environmental pollutions, Ecological environment already quite fragile.Groundwater is polluted seriously because of the irrational exploitation ofgroundwater use, excessive pollutant emissions as well as some unexpectedcontaminants spill. Potassium permanganate is widely used in situ contaminatedgroundwater and soil remediation because of its strong oxidizing. Which controlledrelease technology for the remediation of contaminated groundwater and soil providesa new way of thinking. In this study, paraffin wax was selected as a coating material and matrix forparticulate KMnO4. MSC method was employed for the controlled release potassiumpermanganate. Preparation conditions include: size of the release agent; thedecentralized manner of KMnO4in paraffin; the ratio of KMnO4to wax (P/W). Wealso explore the binding mode of paraffin particles with potassium permanganate inrelease agent. The results showed that for two sizes A (d=11mm, h=48mm) and B(d=5mm, h=5mm), the latter KMnO4more evenly dispersed in paraffin. Bychanging the way of ultrasound and stirring, we can find that ultasonic treatment of10min and stirring speed at150r/min contribute to the most uniform dispersion of theKMnO4particles in the molten paraffin wax than simple ultrasonic treatment orsimple stirring treatment. The KMnO4loading amount increased significantly alongwith the increasing of the P/W, but the recovery of KMnO4declined significantlyalong with the increasing of the P/W. Potassium permanganate particles are physicallycombined with paraffin in release agent. The releasing characteristics of the samples in the distilled water (includeddifferent pH values, different temperatures and different dissolved oxygenconcentrations)were examined by bench scale test. The release kinetics equation andthe weighting factor were also calculated. The results showed that the release of thecontrolled release potassium permanganate in pure water is to follow the equation: weighting factor of temperatures, pH, DO is0.412,0.533,0.055.The Weighting factors is increased with the increase of temperatures, pH, but it changes little with the increase of DO.The result of Kinetics is that efficiency is affected by the initial concentration of phenol and the value of N. With the increase of the concentration of phenol, The concentration of MnO2-which released from the CRP is greater than the concentration of the. K-By weighing the amount of MnO2obtained after the reaction, we can find that MnO2by dosing the CRP is below30%by dosing KMnO4powder. By equation simulation dynamics, we can find that the phenol reaction with potassium permanganate followed equation...
