In order to solve the problems in the Ag-loaded technology of calcium alginatefibers such as alginate fibers became stiff,unstable and its antibacterial propertydecreased and can’t be mass produced. Ag-loaded calcium alginate fibers have beenprepared via impregnation enrichment method.The adsorption and release performanceand mechanism of Ag-loaded calcium alginate fibers were explored.Its preparationprocess was discussed.The properties of Ag-loaded calcium alginate fibers were analyzed.These results may provided theoretical base for mass producing Ag-loaded calciumalginate fibers with higher antibacterial property and better stability.Ag-loaded calcium alginate fibers have been prepared using alginate fiber andnellnano-silver as raw materials via impregnation enrichment method. The adsorptionperformance and mechanism were explored utilizing visible spectrophotometer method.The optimum process conditions of preparing Ag-loaded calcium alginate fiberswere studied:control the pH value of nano-silver solution as7,dipping temperature(roomtemperature),dipping time20min,drying temperature60oC,and wash fibers with80%(V/V) aqueous ethanol solution.The property of silver release of Ag-loaded calcium alginate fibers was evaluated byICP-OES.The silver ion concentration increases with increase of oxygen and silvercontent of solution,and decreases with the increase of pH value and dipping temperature.In addition, Ag-loaded calcium alginate fibers also have good sustained release propertiesand can be used repeatedly.
