Ti has excellent mechanical properties and corrosion resistance, its oxides, nitrides andcarbides are excellent corrosion resistance, in chemical and other industries have beenwidely used. In the atmospheric environment arc spray can effectively reduce the cost, issuitable for the actual production process, has practical application value. Excellentmechanical, chemical and physical properties of arc spraying can be used in anti-corrosion,wear-resistant, decoration and form a special functional coatings, etc. Arc spray used insteel structure corrosion, mechanical repair, rapid molding, manufacture special functionalcoatings, on the premise of quality assurance, can greatly reduce the production cost, withstrong market competitiveness. Preparation of Ti arc spraying coating has become a hottopic of research, we are trying to improve the process by changing parameters, pass intoprotective gas, among other measures, to seek one measure can obtain titanium coating, butso far, unsuccessful. This experimental study on Ti and its compounds by arc sprayingcoating was to see, whether it can have more than or comparable corrosion resistance topure Ti.The arc spraying coating preparation of Ti and its compounds in Q235A steel, thecoating thickness, sulfuric acid concentration, temperature on the influence of Ti and itscompound coating corrosion rate. Coating corrosion occurred in the sulfuric acid, is mainlydue to the coating under certain conditions can react with sulfuric acid, lead to coatingdissolve, make peeling coating, and the corrosion of substrate.Through the observation of the coating surface morphology and the analysis ofexperimental data, get the following conclusion:20%sulfuric acid corrosion resistance oftitanium and its compound coating the optimal thickness of0.6mm. At room temperature,with the concentration of sulfuric acid. Ti and its compound coating corrosion resistance tosulfuric acid will increases. At60℃, Ti and its compound coating corrosion resistance tosulfuric acid will reduce. In sulfuric acid concentration of60%, titanium and its compoundcoating in the sulfuric acid corrosion rate maximum temperature40℃,60℃the lowest corrosion rate,60℃, as temperature increases, the corrosion rate was accelerated. Insulfuric acid concentration of20%, titanium and its compound coating in the sulfuric acidcorrosion rate maximum temperature40℃, temperature more than40℃, with the rising oftemperature the coating corrosion rate will decrease.
