Liquefied gas valve in industrial production and life are widely used in various fields. It controls the entire chain of transmission fluid, the flow rate adjustment, easy to cut, inhibition countercurrent fluid shunt and a series of functions. Most liquefied gas valve is usually screwed way connected with other components, therefore, A direct impact on the quality of the external thread sealing components connected. If the gas leak, the explosion would not be avoided, which will make the user’s life-threatening and cause unnecessary damage to property. Therefore, analysis of external gas valve thread detection is an important indicator of safety performance test.The traditional method is to use artificial method to detect the valve outside screw pitch, diameter, taper, pitch, tooth type angle. Although this method is simple, easy to operate, the detection results are affected by human impact. Aiming at the shortage of traditional detection method, using the image processing technology of liquefied gas bottle valve thread parameters were detected, the detection of high efficiency, fast speed, high precision, realizes the pipeline automation batch testing.In this paper, using the image processing technology as the detection of liquefied gas external thread is a new detecting method more practical. Through the design of the testing platform, image processing and to determine whether the qualified external thread parameters and standard parameters matching. Experiments show that using image processing technology and the detection efficiency is improved by50times, the detection accuracy of0.001mm, to achieve real-time, high speed, volume, accurate detection, can meet the requirements of industrial automation detection.
