| The high strength quenched and tempered steel used for 100,000cubic meter oil storage tanks has been developed in Baosteel. Base on theexperimental results in laboratory, a steel composition with low carbon,low nitrogen and micro alloy addition was determined, and quenchingand tempering heat treatment technologies were established. Then, twobatches of steel were smelted in Baosteel, and the ingots were rolled andheat-treated into steel plate 08MnNiVR on the heavy plate productionline of Pudong Steel equiped with 4200mm roller.The 08MnNiVR steel plates with different thickness were testedso as to get the data of mechanic properties, application properties andweldability. The results shows that the 08MnNiVR steel plates havestable chemical composition, good mechanical properties and weldability,and can meet the technical requirements for making 100,000 cubic meteroil storage tanks. |
