The transported bridge erecting machine is a heavy machinery engineeringequipment which is indispensable in the high-speed railway construction in themountainous geographic environment. The SLC900transported bridge erecting machineis a set of heavy construction-machinery which integrates mechanical system, hydraulicsystem, electrical system together. It is able to lift the girder, transport the girder and erectthe girder individually.SLC900transported bridge erecting machine is the latest manufactured and appliedto the western railway construction in China. This paper did a thorough theoretical studyand application implementation in view of the synchronous control of the steering for theSLC900transported bridge erecting machine. The calculation method of wheels steeringangle for the various steering mode is summarized according to the working principle ofthe transported bridge erecting machine. Combining with the characteristics of thevalve-control-cylinder system, the mathematical model of a single steering wheel isestablished. This article established the simulink model of the transported bridge erectingmachine’s steering system and simulated the system. In the system, the article selected thepeer to peer and master-slave control mode as the steering system control strategy andapplied the piecewise PID control algorithm and fuzzy PID control algorithm. Designedthe hardware structure of the electrical control system, and transformed the simulationmodel into the program of the controller. At last tested and debugged the control system inthe field.This article aimed at the synchronization control system and realizing thesynchronization, quickness, accuracy and stability of the transported bridge erectingmachine. In this paper combined the theoretical research and simulation analysis withexperimental research method and applied peer to peer and master-slave control strategy,achieving high synchronization performance of the synchronous control system that laid asolid foundation of the transported bridge erecting machine’s safe running. The research achievement of synchronization steering control in this paper has learning and referencevalue for the control of the heavy tired transported equipment.
