With the continuous development of the power structure of the power system becomes more and more complex, increasing energy requirements. Comprehensive and accurate grasp of the operation of the grid, the grid of run trend forecasting and analysis, therefore, the dispatch center at all levels in China to introduce energy management system or data acquisition and monitoring system. The state estimation is the premise and basis of the energy management system or data acquisition and monitoring system. State estimation can be achieved on the current operating status of the system’s security monitoring to meet the requirements of the data required by the power system analysis and control, providing reliable, accurate and complete real-time database.Power system state estimation using real-time data acquisition back from the perspective of the software using the algorithm automatically exclude the impact of bad data, calculate the complete and accurate power system electrical quantities. Power system state estimation mainly include the analysis of the network topology, the network observability analysis, state estimation calculation, the detection and identification of bad data, and tie line identification. The detection and identification of bad data affect scheduling personnel decisions, affecting the normal operation of the power system, and even affect the security and economic operation of the power system.Research based on a comprehensive understanding of the power system state estimation, state estimation theory applied to the actual energy management system. This paper is as follows:First, a comprehensive understanding of state estimation, a mathematical description of the state estimation, state estimation study. Made a detailed introduction to the state estimation calculated based on the state estimation calculated process.Secondly, the data collection occasional bad data, the need for data detection and identification of bad data, in order to improve the reliability of state estimation. This article describes the bad data detection and identification method, and the calculation of the trend by example IEEE-14model, select each injection and slip measurements, adding bad data simulation and analysis of numerical examples prove the usefulness of the method and accuracy.Finally, the research combined grid state estimation with reference to other supporting software of power system planning, state estimation applied to the energy management system, and applied to the actual grid. The structure and function of the system in detail, as well as introduction of a specific operation in the system.
